This is anything but the same old sport flying experience. If you’re an intermediate to experienced pilot looking for highspeed jet thrills, the Parkzone Habu EDF Jet is just what you’re you've been looking for . . . and a whole lot more.Parkzone Habu EDF

The Parkzone Habu is a semi-scale electric ducted fan model that takes sport flying to a whole new dimension with a plane that combines blistering speeds, crisp and precise aerobatics together with forgiving slow speed flight characteristics for landing.

The ParkZone® Habu EDF Jet is a full-throttle thriller capable of blistering speeds and precise aerobatics. At the heart of this spine-tingling performance is the phenomenal power of E-flite’s BL15 3200Kv brushless ducted fan motor mated to an E-flite Delta-V™ 15 ducted fan. The potent combo produces enough thrust for outstanding climb performance and thrilling high-speed passes. When it comes time to throttle back and enter the pattern, the Habu’s remarkably wide flight envelope and forgiving slow-speed handling will reward anyone used to flying faster sport planes with picture-perfect, nose-high touch downs and takeoffs.

Getting this Bind-N-Fly™ version airborne is about as simple as it gets. Just attach the wing and tail, charge the battery, bind the receiver to your full range DSM2™ transmitter and you’re flying.

The Parkzone Habu also boasts a remarkably wide flight envelope and with its relatively light wing loading the model has very forgiving slow speed handling. That means when it’s time to throttle back and line up for landing, pilots used to flying faster, heavier sport planes will be able to perform “high alpha” nose-high landings.

Parkzone Habu EDFFor take off’s the model can be flown from hard surface using the optional landing gear, or the gear can be left off and the model can be easily hand launched and landed back on the grass.

The Parkzone Habu EDF goes ballistic! The power comes from the E-flite BL15 brushless outrunner motor, rated at 3200kV, with an  E-flite Delta-V™ 15 ducted fan. A 14.8V (4S) 3200mAh 30C li-po battery pack completes the powertrain and the combination of the three components gives this Habu EDF impressive performance.

The following is a forum post from the Horizon Hobby Director of Aircraft Development -

"You are correct. I don't remember which thread it was, but I've previously posted that straight and level is in the 80mph range. It does indeed take a dive to get over 100; we got the Habu on radar consistently over 115. Our target for this was not to create a pure speed machine. It was to create excellent handling qualities with a machine that also could do the occasional high-speed pass."

But what is a pleasant surprise is that along with blistering speed ParkZone has managed to design the Habu with excellent slow speed handling, perfect for those slow fly-byes for the camera. Watch the video below, the Parkzone Habu handles with  precision and is very smooth at both high and low speeds...

Habu was the nickname given by its crews to the USAF Lockheed SR71 Mach 3 reconnaissance aircraft.  Even the name Habu relates to something fast;

While there are plenty of RTF electric ducted fan jets on the market, it's nice to see a top brand name like ParkZone entering the EDF field, their models are of very good quality and an excellent value!
